"Huge selection, but you have to dig a bit"
I remember first opening CGTrader and feeling kind of excited because there were so many models to look through, like I could probably find anything I needed. the variety is great. But after spending a while searching, that excitement turned into a little frustration because the quality can be really inconsistent. Some assets are super solid, and others feel like they need a lot of fixing. It’s a good place to browse, just be ready to take your time and check things carefully before buying...

"Super Easy and Worked Great"
I downloaded both the FBX and OBJ files, and the whole process was really easy. Both opened up in Blender without any weird issues, which was a nice relief. Everything worked just like I needed it to

"Refund issue got sorted out fast"
I had a refund issue and thought it might turn into one of those long back-and-forth things, you know how that goes. But it actually got handled way quicker than I expected. I kept checking my email while doing other stuff, half thinking it would take days, and then the refund came through fast. Really appreciated how easy it ended up being.

"Everything I needed was right on the listing"
I appreciated how detailed the product pages on CGTrader were. They had the file formats, previews, poly count, and license info all laid out, so I wasn’t stuck guessing before buying. If you’re browsing for models, I’d definitely suggest taking a minute to check those details on the listing first, it makes it way easier to choose the right one and avoid surprises later

I bought a 3D model on cgtrader and had a couple of questions before I could really use it. From my experience, the seller was helpful and polite, and they got back to me fairly quickly when I had an issue with the file. It wasn’t instant every single time, but it was reasonable. Once they helped me sort things out, the model was what I expected. I’d give it 4 stars because the communication was good overall, though I personally would’ve liked slightly faster replies.

"Seller ratings made choosing way less stressful"
I actually really liked how easy it was to see the seller ratings before buying anything. It made me feel a lot better about picking the right model and not ending up with some random disappointment. Weirdly, I remember one seller had a profile photo with a bright green mug in the background, and somehow that stuck with me. Overall, helpful site and definitely made the whole process feel safer.

"Way smoother than I expected"
I bought a 3D model on CGTrader i was ready to get annoyed if the download was a hassle. But then the files showed up right away, the link worked perfectly, and there were no weird errors or waiting around. So yeah, my mood switched fast. Super smooth experience overall, and I’d definitely use it again

"Decent prices, but check the files carefully"
I’ve used CGTrader a few times for 3D models, and the prices are usually fair. That said, I’d definitely warn people not to just buy the first model they see, because some are a bit overpriced and you can often find something very similar for less if you spend a few more minutes looking around. When the files are clean and ready to use, the value is great. I did have one model that needed a little fixing, which was annoying, but for the price it wasn’t a huge deal. Overall, it’s not perfect, but I’d probably use it again, just with a bit more caution before purchasing.

Payment went through without any trouble, and checkout was easy for the most part. I did have to double-check one step because it wasn’t totally clear, but to be fair, it didn’t cause any real issues. I got my file right after paying, so overall it was a decent experience.

"Easy to use, just a little slow here and there"
I found the site simple to get around, and the filters actually make a big difference when you’re trying to narrow down models. I liked that I could sort things without feeling like I was digging through endless pages. My only small gripe is that a few pages took a little longer to load than I expected, especially when switching filters, and I definitely noticed the pause. Still, overall it was easy to find what I was looking for.

"Notifications have been dependable overall"
I mostly use CGTrader to keep an eye on sales and messages, and so far the notifications have been reliable in my experience. Every now and then an email shows up a little late, or I have to refresh the site to see the latest update, but it hasn’t caused any real issues for me. I do trust it to catch the important stuff most of the time. I’d give it 5 stars if the notifications were just a bit quicker...

"Feels like a fair deal for creators"
I’ve been selling a few 3D models on CGTrader, and the commission split is a big reason I keep using it. I did look around and compare notes with other creators, and it seems like a lot of people feel the same way, you don’t feel like such a huge chunk disappears every time you make a sale.
Payouts have been smooth for me so far too. Nothing fancy, but simple and reliable, which is really all I wanted. I still check what other sellers are saying from time to time, but so far I haven’t had any reason to move elsewhere.

"Helpful Filters, but Still a Bit Messy"
The filters do help narrow things down, but the results still feel kind of messy sometimes. I mean, not messy exactly, just not as organized as I’d like when I’m trying to find something specific.

"Sorting invoices and tax stuff was easy"
I use CGTrader to buy 3D models, and I needed proper invoices for my accounting. Luckily, everything was easy to find in my account, and the tax details were clear enough for my bookkeeper to work with. I had one small question, and support got back to me quickly. Overall, no real hassle, which is exactly what I was hoping for

"Seems like a solid place to get your models noticed"
I uploaded a few of my 3D models to CGTrader and was surprised they started getting views quickly. I’m still figuring out what works, and I’ve been checking what other sellers are doing to compare, but it does feel like there’s a real opportunity here if your models are decent. Sales didn’t happen overnight, but so far I’m happy with the exposure

The designer did a good job overall, so maybe I’m just being a bit impatient, but the revisions and back-and-forth messages took longer than I was hoping. I’m not sure if my expectations were too high, but the final work was solid

"Licensing was easy enough to understand"
I bought a few models and mostly paid attention to the license details since that’s what mattered to me. Before checkout, it was clear what kind of usage was allowed, which I appreciated because I didn’t want to dig through a bunch of extra info. One file had notes that felt a little vague, but the FAQ and support cleared it up enough. Overall, a good experience.

"Custom 3D model delivered right on time"
I ordered a custom 3D model on cgtrader my biggest concern was whether it would be done by the deadline. The designer came across as professional and easy to work with, which made me feel confident from the start. They finished it ahead of the agreed date and still had time to make a small tweak I asked for. Overall, it was a smooth experience with no stress or constant follow-ups needed. I’d definitely consider using them again for custom work.
